FOS has released a new book; Gestalt.
Gestalt is an artist monograph that spans the last 15 years of FOS' artistic practice. With the quest of surfacing the underlying common threads behind his productions, the publication takes the notion of 'gestalt' as its axis, conceptualising meaning and shape as unity. Gestalt collates FOS' prolific production that extends to design and architecture whilst keeping its grounds on the visual and fine arts, amplifying his crafty approach to production of surfaces and their potential for generation of meaning.
Olaf Breuning is showing new works at TABLEAU ZURICH, a place for visual art in a public area. On display are photographs of staged paradoxical situations with everyday people and objects. Little tragedies of everyday life where nothing goes to plan.
FOS takes part in Haven Festivals Art Experiences with his improvisation-based music system 'Small White Man'. 'Small White Man' is made in collaboration with Nis Bysted (Thulebasen) and consists of FOS using a lighting installation to live-conduct an ensemble of six musicians playing six 2x20min concerts.
