The American Institute of Architects has nominated Superkilen as one of the best urban planning projects in the world in 2012. Superkilen is a collaboration between Superflex, BIG and Topotek1. For more information see AIA’s website.

We are happy to announce Torbjørn Rødland’s new book Vanilla Partner published by MACK. The book brings together work from Oslo, Tokyo, Beijing and Rødland’s current home Los Angeles.

Torbjørn Rødland will have a booksigning today the 28th of November in New York City at Dashwood Books.

 

Runo Lagomarsino and Superflex at SHOW OFF, Cyprus

uno Lagomarsino and Superflex are currently showing their work in the group exhibition SHOW OFF in Nicosia, Cyprus. The exhibition consists of 19 billboards around the city and a show at the Point Centre for Contemporary Art, Cyprus. The exhibition will be on display until the 12th of December 2012.

We are very proud to announce Mads Gamdrup’s solo exhibition Just Noise at Brandts Kunsthalle in Odense, DK.

The exhibition opens on August 23rd at 17 and will be on display until January 6th 2013.

 

SUPERFLEX AT COPENHAGEN ART FESTIVAL

At Copenhagen Art Festival Superflex donated the rights to their newest work Mærsk – The Opera to the Royal Danish Opera and the Copenhagen Opera House. The opera is donated for free as a people’s gift.

The official presentation of the work took place at Nikolaj Center for Contemporary
Art on August 24th where cultural minister Uffe Elbæk and a representative from the Royal Danish Opera received the gift.

Throughout the festival until October 21 it will be possible to view the work Mærsk – The Opera; the 65 framed pages from the score to the opera at Nikolaj Center for Contemporary Art.
