Public commission, Copenhagen, DKThe artwork in Pistolstræde by Mads Gamdrup consists of three glass pieces installed along the walls of the passageway, along with a ceiling installation. Together, these elements form a metaphor for inhaling and exhaling – for breathing – like breathing onto glass, watching the mist form and then evaporate. The glass pieces are designed to create a sense of presence and interaction with passersby, reflecting their own images as well as those of others. The yellow color of the ceiling is of such a high frequency that it can be felt in one's breathing and posture. When combined with the two blue pieces, the ceiling’s yellow color merges to create a green hue in the third glass piece. -
