    Singular Plural

    May 16 – September 16, 2012
SCAD MUSEUM OF ART, Savannah, Georgia, USA

The SCAD exhibitions department presents Dario Escobar: Singular-Plural, a selection of re-worked industrial objects and works on paper highlighting form, function and concept.

Escobar pulls everyday objects—a skateboard, a book page, a baseball bat—from the world of the mass produced into the realm of fine art through his use of appropriation, accumulation and repetition. The result is a work of art composed of multiple objects that were once singular and utilitarian and are now presented as one work that is imbued with entirely different aesthetic and conceptual qualities.
