Drawing on ideas from psychoanalysis and critical theory, she uses painting as a space where the self is formed, challenged, and reshaped. Central to the works are reproductions of her own handwritten signatures, transformed through processes such as screen printing and repetition. What once functioned as a personal mark becomes something more ambiguous – at once familiar and distant.
Built through layers of revealing and concealing, the paintings leave behind traces, interruptions, and fragments. Some gestures appear immediate and expressive, while others are obscured or partially erased. Through this process, Lindsmyr reflects on how identity is shaped through memory, repetition, and constant change, approaching painting not simply as image, but as a space for thinking through becoming.
