Today marks the official inauguration of the Pietas Pavilion at the Regional Hospital in Gødstrup — a space where art, architecture, and contemplation come together. The pavilion was designed by Ingvar Cronhammar (1947–2021) in close collaboration with FRIIS & MOLTKE architect Palle Hurwitz. It houses the monumental "Pietas" relief by Svend Wiig Hansen, a work dating back to 1976.
As we commemorate the fourth anniversary of Ingvar Cronhammar’s passing, we honor his contribution to the Pietas Pavilion. His vision has brought forth a contemplative space that invites patients, staff, and visitors to reflect on life’s most profound themes in a serene and timeless setting. Cronhammar’s design harmoniously integrates light, sound, and structure — creating a place that is much more than just a building. It is a place for stillness, reflection, and human connection.
